everyone on 142 has a single connection list. once it reaches one hundred and forty-two people, it stops growing until someone leaves it. that's the whole rule. there's no follower count, no public number, no leaderboard. the cap is private and the same for everyone, including the people who built it. if you want to add someone new and the list is full, you remove someone first. it's a quiet decision, and one we think people are better at making than most platforms assume.
